A Classic LA Retreat

Desmond’s laid-back outdoor pool courtyard feels very much like a classic Los Angeles space. The building itself is an extension of a restored Art Deco landmark, and that Miracle Mile character carries into the courtyard. Rows of tall, mature palm trees and warm, sheltering façade creates real sense of place.

The pool is long and clean-lined, with plenty of room to swim or just drift for a while. Around it, the deck settles into a mix of comfortable loungers, shaded daybeds, and covered seating. Off to the side, a separate spa area with two soaking pools offers an easy place to slow down and linger.

Beautiful palms are tall and fully grown, shaping the space rather than decorating it. Paired with the architecture and the inward-looking layout, the courtyard carries a distinctly SoCal sense of calm, with a quiet, almost nostalgic ease.

Nearby, you'll also find outdoor rooms with comfy lounge seating, fire features and an outdoor TV; grill stations and outdoor games; and a lovely flow into the Desmond's resident lounge inside the main building. Welcome home.
